Before the ceremony we walked to City Life furniture store in brea for portraits. This place was A-maz-ing. Everyone needs to hit this place up. Brett and Roni got married at Craig Park in Brea Ca. which we loved. It was organic and beautiful. After the ceremony Brett and Roni walked from the park to their "backyard chic" reception a few blocks away. Great friends and family made this a perfect wedding. Congratulations you two!

Anna called a few months ago and said that she and Billie were getting married soon!! They had to rush things because the Navy was shipping Billie over to Korea for two years. They wanted to get married before that happened. We are happy that they let us be apart of their wedding day. Anna was a beautiful bride and Billie was one of those guys that you immediately want to be friends with. Together they make an awesome couple. Not only was it a beautiful day, but they had tons of friends and family that came and shared in the celebration.

Start things off right with two handsome ring bears and a cute little flower girrrrl.

Every ceremony needs a live band, it really just feels right.

Most of you may remember Matt and Jalyn as one of the Amelia Lyon's Big Wedding Photography giveaway finalists . Amelia called us to see if we were up to the challenge of being kind enough to shoot Matt and Jalyn on their big wedding day. We felt honored to step up and help. Little did we know that Matt and Jalyn both have huge hearts and lots of love to give. Both of them were fun to shoot and be around which is an awesome combo to capture some beautiful images.

I got an update a few weeks ago from Jalyn on Matts dad's condition: (I know it is long, but it is worth a read)

Hi fabulous photographers!

How are you two lovely people doing?! I thought I would pop in say hello and give you an update on dad. These past couple weeks have been nuts!

Alan had surgery on April 14th to remove a rectal tumor and part of his colon. The good news was that the radiation and chemo shrunk it down enough and the surgery was successful. There was worry that he would be on a Colostomy bag for the rest of his life, but now it looks like it will be temporary. We went to see him on the 15th and he was tired. Surgery was over 8 hrs long. He was upside and 5 incisions were made from the front abdominal area and the surgery was done by a man operating with robot hands! Crazy huh!? There's been a few complications with his small intestines coming off the anesthetic and some intestinal blockages but a recent CAT scan shows all is well and its just taking his body a little bit longer to bounce back. The poor guys will finally start a clear liquid diet and if that goes well onto easy foods. He hasn't had anything but drips of water for over a week, but they have all the tubes and gizmos in him to keep him hydrated and ok. He's had trouble sleeping, some days he's up and at em and others tired and frustrated things aren't moving faster. He had hoped to have the operation and be home in 2 days! Hehe, such an optimist! :) Its frustrating for him because he's been in there for over a week and a half. The nice thing is the people at City of Hope Hospital are so nice! The people are taking good care of him and Debbie (Matts mom) has been able to stay most nights with him These past few days have been better and he will hopefully be home sometime next week to rest. He'll have some home hospital care for support and will have to check into the hospital again in a few months to look at the Colostomy.

We hope you guys are doing well. You guys are seriously amazing and we think of you both often :)

Very rarely do I post images of Emily and I, as most photographers say--they would rather be behind the lens instead of in the front of it--and that is me for sure. But I love these images as much as I love my wife and little Charlie so I thought I'd share them. We first got to know Matt + Jalyn thru Amelia Lyon's BIG WEDDING GIVEAWAY contest. They were one of the finalist that were chosen. Amelia called on us for help in giving back were she could not. We were touched by their story that we absolutely wanted help out wherever we could. Matt and Jalyn have sacrificed so much time, energy, and money caring for Matt's father who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, that life got put on the back burner. It is our pleasure to help them fulfill their dream of getting married.

Matt + Jalyn could be the happiest couple on planet earth. They laughed from the first shot to the last and I can tell that from the awesome time we had at the engagement shoot that their wedding is going to knock our socks off. Also, I am also grateful that Roger from EPlove could help me rock out this e-session. Stay tune for their up coming wedding in April. There are tons of amazing images to follow.

Justin + Holly moved in down the street from us a few months ago and we quickly became friends. They had asked us if we could take a few pictures of them so they could start their adaption process. I have to say hands down, these two would make awesome parents--husband and wife who are kind, generous, in love, fun, and cool. But most of all, they would have a kick butt family.

It was a privilege to shoot them. High fives all around. (even if it was only for a half and hour on a Saturday morning).

We met up a few weeks ago to shoot the lovely Anthony + Gina in Downtown Redlands Ca. We found the cool abandoned train station (by the movie theater) that was perfect to shoot at, even though there were tons of twi-tard crazies going to watch twilight on opening weekend. Danny + Sue blow my mind. These two are some of the coolest people Emily Ruth and I got to know this year. We started off the day at The Doubletree hotel in Anaheim Ca for some getting ready shots, then off to the church for the ceremony. We finished the night back at The Doubletree hotel for the reception were Brittany Fitch, the day of coordinator, from In The Now Events kicked butt and made the day perfect.
We loved getting to know Danny and Sue! So congratulations you two and enjoy the photos!

I love this time of year because it means that summer is over. Since we live in California we really don't get a change in weather so we go by holidays for the change in seasons. Halloween, to me, officially kicks off the fall season. For those of you that know me I am the biggest girl when it comes to watching scary movies and I am the first to admit it. So it is the decorations, the fun, the parties, and the smells of fall that I am into, not the "scare the poop sauce out of ya" side of halloween. That's why I like to keep it clean!!!!

This was the first year that charlie got to experience trick-or-treating and eating candy and dressing up like a tiger.... and well he really thought he was a tiger, going around biting people and growling at everyone. Needless to say he was super cute.

Allison and Brain are a couple of cool folks with three cute boys. They wanted some fun family photos of them at the Newport Temple, so Emily and I threw some high fives and went to work. It was pretty easy though, as you can see they were naturals. And as I found out, Allison is the sister-in-law of one of my best friends growing up, what a small world. I love a happy family!!!!
